Kimberly A. K. Parks was born into a military family in Pennsylvania. Her mother is from the Big Island and her father from Illinois. She attended elementary school in Afghanistan and Beirut, Lebanon. Her travels as a child were extensive; she has lived in and/or visited in Pakistan, Istanbul, India, Somalia and Thailand, among other countries. When Kimberly’s father retired from the military, the family moved back to the Big Island where they resided in Kaimu. She graduated from Waiakea High School and shortly thereafter became a licensed Cosmetologist. In 1990, Kimberly decided to change careers and joined an established escrow company in Hilo. After 12 years working in escrow, Kimberly obtained her real estate license and joined a local brokerage where she could use her skills and experience to benefit buyers and sellers throughout their transactions. In the beginning of her real estate career, Kimberly was also an assistant to the Broker of the firm she had joined. When the firm decided to change location to the other side of the island, Kimberly joined Hilo’s Prudential Orchid Isle Properties as an assistant to the President of the company, a capacity she filled for 5 years before jumping into full time sales, joining with Clark Realty Corporation in 2013 when Prudential merged with CRC. Recently, Kimberly followed her dream and created her own Real Estate Company, Parks Realty, LLC . Kimberly’s “aloha spirit” and her professionalism and service to her clients is exceptional.
